HOLY CEREMONIES (POOJA) IN HINDUISM





This is an elaborate process of worshipping to our deities. This way of ceremony (Pooja) also balances all the five elements, which we are made of. The Pooja, is most purified way in Hinduism to present their respect and scientific way of prayer/ anusthan for their God/Goddess, beloveds, Pitras, changing seasons and samskaras (in Vedas). This pooja (ceremony) should be conducted by a learned Priest (pundit) or by the trained household members themselves. Any ceremony goes through different mantras and offerings /vidhis, that is why a trained priest (Pundit) or learned member should be there to execute the whole ceremony .this way we can get maximum effect of a particular Pooja or we can say ceremony.Pooja has to be processed with different essential Puja items ( Samagri ). These items are steeped in significance, and are, hence, acquired with devotion and religious fervor.

These Puja items (pooja samagri) will be provided by the “16sanskar Kendra” in our holy package scheme. These items should be unfailingly present in any auspicious ceremony.

3. IN DIFFERENT POOJAS / KARMAKANDA /ANUSHTHAN OR SIDHI KARMA SOME OF THE ITEMS WILL BE CHANGED AND CHARGES WILL BE CHARGED ACCORDING TO THAT PACKAGE.






NARMDESHWAR SHIVALINGAM




Narmdeshwar Shiva Ling With its base stand and upper Naga. Most of people use ordinary Shiva lingam for prayer that cannot create 100% effect on surroundings or us. This Narmdeshwar Shiva Ling is the original shivaling that does not need to be purified or its Pranprathistha. This shiva ling has different color and weight from ordinary Shiva Lingams.


KALASH (COPPER POT)



Kalash (Copper Pot) means, Mango leaves are placed in the mouth of the pot, and a coconut is placed over these. The leaves and coconut represent creation. A red or white thread is tied around the neck of the pot. The thread represents the love that binds all creation. The pot is sometimes filled with rice or water. This signifies the inert body which when filled with the divine force, gains the strength to fulfill its wishes.


BRAAS DIYA (LAMP)


This lamp is a vital part of Hindu pooja . It is used to lit cotton point – (Batti- made of Rui) which is dipped into pure ghee(clarified butter) or oil . A cotton wick is half socked in it so that one can easily lit it. The ghee symbolizes our negative tendencies, and the wick, our ego. When the lamp is lit, the fire (knowledge) burns the negative tendencies and exhausts the ego as well. The lamp represents the light within us, that is, our soul, which we offer to the Supreme Being.


CONCH SHELL ( SANKH)



This Conch shell (SANKH) is believed to make the purest sound – AUM – which purifies the surroundings as well our human nerves system. It is the best practice for lungs and meditation.(High Blood pressure patient should practice it after the consultation of any Yoga Guru.


TULSI & FLOWER GARLAND

The Tulsa garland is used to decorate deities and also doorways. It is a mark of auspiciousness.



BETEL NUT

The betel nut symbolizes the ego and the hard coarse qualities that must be surrendered to the Lord.


CAMPHOR (KAPOOUR)




This is a white color piece of camphor, which contains power to burn negative energy. When camphor burns, it leaves no space for ill or devil energy.


HAWAN SAMAGRI

HAR KI PODI (HARIDWAR) KA GANGAJAL (SEALED)




The holy water (Pavitra jal) from the Holy Ganges Har ki Podi (Haridwar ) .the holy water of gange is used to purify our whole aura or we can say our ring of energy which is covers our body all the time .Ganga water which originates from Himalayas ,contains essence of many minerals in it . It also has the blessings of Lord Shiva and goddess ganga. It has a spiritual power to dispel diseases, cleanse sin and achieve salvation.



INCENSE STICKS




Incense is a material which makes a place pure and comfortable. It carries the blessings of God and welcomes him with great fragrance. The incense sticks are held in an incense stick holder or incense stick stand or on the top of the fruits / pind etc.


SMALL PUJA THALI




This is the tray on which we place few pooja items as symbol. We will use a bigger thali also which deity has to provide.


DHOOP




The specific material Dhoop (16sanskar) is made of various incense ingredients which are made into a paste and rolled. when it is burned, the smoke of it destroys all negative energies around us and pooja sthala / home / office / shop or any other place.


VESSELS AND SPOON (GANGA JAIL AUR CHAMACH)



This is an essential part of Hindu Pooja /anusthan. This is used to feed the deities.



BELL

Pooja bell sound is the most powerful energy in this world. A constant sound always creates a nostalgia and makes any one composed / contained. Sound of this Pooja energies the deities and requests the Gods to merge his blessings and energy in that particular place.


TURMERIC ( HALDI )



In Ingredient or powder

Turmeric is most effective antiseptic. In Hindu culture all the families use it in different forms. In Pooja it represents the purified thoughts that should adorn the mind.

KUMKUM


This is a red material which Lord Hanuman likes the most. This is a symbol of purity, devotion , attachment , faith and loyalty. It always identifies a worshipper who should be benefited or cared.



SANDAL - CHANDAN OR (SANDAL POWDER)



This is an auspicious Puja item that is placed on the forehead of god / goddess and the deity , at the point of their third eye of wisdom (at the point of third eye of Lord Shiva. This part / point of the forehead contains the Pran Shakti and wisdom in it.



HOLY THREAD (KALEVA OR MAULI )




The Holy Thread (kaleva or Mauli ) this thread is a tie of those words , which we determine at the pooja sthala . This is also a relationship between human and God .it is tied on the right wrist of man and left wrist of a women.



JANEU (HOLY THREAD)





It is an essential part of pooja . Pundit executes this janeu Dhahran process for his jajman ( devotee). It is ware on different shoulders (many a time) in different poojas,. This holy thread is also beneficial in nerve control process.



COCONUT



Coconut is used to tie holy thread of pooja as well as purest offer to God & his/her ceremony. This fruit is used as “Prasaad” (blessing of our God , Isth, kuldeveta and guru).



SHRI YANTRA





One piece of SHRI YANTRA to place at your home or shop or office.it grasp the positive energy of our surroundings and spreads positive energy at our place and body as well.



HONEY





Honey will be proveided by us. Honey contains fewer calories and carbohydrates than sugar since it contains water.

Charanamrit is Holy Nectar from the feet of the Lord (the deity).this holy nectar - charanamrit is a preparation of Ghee (clarified butter), Gangajal (holy water), Curd, Honey, and leaves of Tulsa plant.

Rice: This represents material wealth.





HAVAN KUND





A Havana is a sacred purifying ritual, in which a sacrificial fire is built, and honey, camphor and other items burned. It signifies the burning of negative energies and tendencies.




DEITY OFFERINGS



The deity is offered flowers and fresh fruits. The flowers represent the good that has blossomed in us. They are held in a flower basket. The offering of fruits signifies our surrender and self-sacrifice.
